02 / Why firms retain APB

Claim decisions are only as strong as the record.

Insurers and counsel resolve claims every day on incomplete records. Not by choice, but because independent facts are difficult to gather and easy to lose. Decisions of that significance deserve better inputs.

Independent investigation completes the record. Lawful surveillance, verified claims history, corroborated statements, documented assets: objective facts that let counsel evaluate a claim on its merits and resolve it accordingly.

Our findings are reported as observed, whether they support or contradict the working theory of the file. That impartiality is what makes the record credible, and it’s why insurance litigation teams and SIU units retain us early, before evidence is lost.

03 / The APB difference

Built around the complaints lawyers have about investigators.

Deployed in days, not weeks.

Evidence has a shelf life. Most investigators get the call months into a file, after stories harden, footage is overwritten, and the surveillance window closes. We scope the same day you call and put investigators in the field while the facts still exist. And when a file reaches us late, we recover ground fast: records sweeps first, targeted surveillance second.

Bilingual fieldwork, native fluency.

South Florida claims run in two languages, and Spanish-speaking investigators are scarce. APB works in English and Spanish natively: recorded statements, witness canvassing, and interviews handled directly, with nothing lost through a translator and nothing challengeable in the transcript.

Proof we’re on post.

You shouldn’t have to take an investigator’s word for it. Every surveillance hour is logged contemporaneously: time-stamped, GPS-referenced entries from arrival to departure, matched to the video and to the invoice. The file doesn’t just say we were there; it proves it.

04 / From the files

How a file comes together.

A composite matter. Details redacted by design. We never discuss client cases.

  1. Day 0
    Demand letter arrives.

Claimant alleges a permanent lifting restriction after a warehouse incident. Demand: $. Counsel suspects exaggeration; suspicion isn’t evidence.

  2. Day 3
    File review.

Prior-claims search surfaces two earlier injury claims, and , neither disclosed. Same attorney of record on both.

  3. Days 5–16
    Surveillance.

Forty-plus documented hours. Time-stamped video of the claimant loading , twice weekly, unassisted.

  4. Day 19
    Report delivered.

Clean chronology, organized exhibits, video log, chain of custody. Counsel notices the deposition.

  5. Day 33
    Findings reported.

The documented record of chronology, exhibits, and video log goes to counsel, and the claim is resolved on the facts. File closed.
